What you can do
We have often found while talking with people that there are
2 classes – the first one firmly believes that improving the living conditions in India is the sole
responsibility of the ruling government and the second one understands that a common man can
do his/her bit to help speed up the process and/or give it a proper direction. Though our site is
mainly for the second group, we are also trying to convert people from the first group to the second one.
From our own experience we know that people are ready to help but they don’t know where
to begin or don’t believe that their small contribution can go a long way in making a difference. We
have to make people understand that their active support is needed to see that
matters are concluded satisfactorily. They just cannot sit back in their chairs and complain about the situation. The enthusiasm and
the energy of the youth -school and college students and the experience of senior citizens can
surely be tapped for pursuing these matters. Participating in community activities regularly will go a long way in making better
citizens out of today's youth. Maybe we are taking an idealistic view of the situation but we think that these
young people can do a lot to achieve what is needed.
