Do you have better solutions for Improving India ?

People discouraged us.!!!

Contribution of Schools and Colleges

Kids from schools and youth from colleges can do wonders if they are properly guided. Since our entire education system is so mark oriented, we suggest that this community work be made compulsory earning up to 25 to 50 marks for at least a semister or a year. By then at least some of the students would have developed sufficient interest in it to want to continue participating in such activities without the incentive of marks!!

Parents should encourage their kids to participate into community work during their summer vacation. It would go a long way in helping us rebuild the nation and make use of our most precious resource – "our children".

Kids and teens are needed to lend a helping hand in:

- Neighbourhood cleanliness drive.

- Maintainance of neighbourhood trees.

- Neighbourhood Security Squads.

- Library Management.

- First aid education and Disaster management squads.

- Campaign against painting of walls.

- Enforcing Queues at public places.

Role Played by The Schools

Apart from periodically inspecting the community activities of their students, the neighbourhood schools and colleges should formulate plans to pool their students together to form a network. This will facilitate the formation of a Knowledge Bank containing information about past projects and suggestions that will be of immense help to others who want to launch similar activities.

The student network can take up projects on a shared basis – involving local residents as well. This will have the added advantage of a triple layer of management – students, school and residents – where someone somewhere will raise a hue and cry if things don’t move swiftly and lousiness will not go undetected!! This will help bring our society together and also foster better relations and goodwill between schools.
